hello guys I was trying to flash my Asus with custom bios but I think I made a mistake when I was reading the ROM and now ended with a dead Chromebook

and my original corrupted ROM is in the attachment ..


board version : C425ta_MB rev:2.0

Yeah thats what i assumed depending on the file size

Unfortunately it Didn't work ! Still the same orange led and taking 5V from the charger only NOT 20V

Hi, i have a C425T that can't be recovered from USB DRIVE / SDCARD (it fails always after 20-30 minutes of writing the OS)
tried with different usbdrives and different sdcards... and also using different .BIN from google repository...

the laptop was perfectly working after the repair but customer lost the passwords ..

do you have successfullly installed GalliumOS or other things (MacOS) ? can you share a dump of your BIOS after installation of coreboot (or similar? )

or are you using chromeos with stock bios

For who can be interested , here the Coreboot BIOS flashable by a programmer directly on the EEPROm (in my case: W25Q128JVPxM )
this can allow to install Linux/Windows/MacOS losing ChromeOS (not starting anymore stock OS)
