How to know if 840 G5 has single or dual chip

    Hello

Is there anyway i can get info about a specifik laptop if its single or dual chip?
I know that 840 g5 laptops have some modells that have double BIOS chip.
Can i get that info somehow trough Serialnumber or trough Windows with 3rd part applikation like HWINFO or something like that?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards

Not all models, Many models works by only unlocking one chip, but sometimes some modells give error and need to flash second chip under motherboard. And i need to know some how if its enaugh with single chip flash or both.

But you did not ask about unlocking All Elitebooks should have both main and EC chip. What you really want to know is, which chip to flash.

Back up both of them and use unlocker only on 16MB chip.

          hehe, yes precisely so!
Problem is sometimes when i only flash 16MB i get error, so need also flash 32MB. But sometimes dont need second chip. I want to understand when its necesery only one chip, and when do both chip.
