Hello, I recently bought a BIOS locked 5310. It powers on and boots into the OS without issue. I am unable to update or reconfigure the bios due to the lock. I am currently in the process of transferring the ownership so that I can get a master password from Dell, but I am impatient, and I don't know if it is going to be free so I am asking if anyone here could help me figure the password out?

The lock prevents me from reading or making a backup of the bios

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

Thank you, I had already learned of that and was saving that as my last resort. I have a whole solder/desolder station here in my lab and if Dell doesn't help me I will be doing that.

When you say clip, do you mean attaching a clip to the chip without desoldering? I wouldn't be able to do that anyways as it is a surface mount chip with no exposed legs. I was able to find a program that allowed me to copy the bios and have posted it earlier, here it is again.

Is there a reader y'all recommend? I have a QH256BXIQ (XM25QH256BXIQ) and I am using the Ch341 to read it, but none of the readers I have looked at have that specific chip by XMC.

My name is Ed. I am new here. I am looking for help clearing a forgottingvUEFi Admin Password on a Dell Latitude 5310 - System Number: C8DR403-8FC8. I am not sure if I can to flash the bios with the ch341A programmer following the attached 8 step instructions. If someone has a master admin password for the above system number and hash code, would really appreciate any help.

I saw many different people posted a file as well, i read the rules but couldn't figure out what file is needed and how to get it.
I tried to use bios-pw but it doesn't provide you the password.
