I have a Dell Latitude 5310 that work have kindly allowed me to keep, however I need the BIOS Admin password to make some changes. Would be most grateful if someone could provide this please.

I bought a used Dell Latitude 5310 in Ebay. The seller did not mention about his Password and dont answer to my messages anymore.

If it start into WIN10, he ask for User and Password...
if i start BIOS and wanna do changes, he ask Admin-Password
i cant even change Bootpriority. My Idea was to give it a fesh new Win Installation... but with F12 he only able boot into WIN10 Drive, for the USB Drive he need Password...

i go crazy with this machine, can anybody help me make this Laptop run... i spend all my money into it.

Im new to this Page and I dont know how to use SPI programmer, i am just a simple User who wanna use this Laptop.

Is there no simple solution?

I can't even change the boot device because it then asks for the admin password. So I can't simply reinstall Windows 10 from a USB stick... it's so annoying.

In the manual, I saw that the motherboard is connected to a BIOS battery... I thought only Desktop PCs had BIOS Batteries. Anyway, this BIOS Battery is located under the laptop's battery. I can't get to it, though, because the laptop's battery isn't removable. I've unscrewed the back cover from Laptop and am frustrated with the cable connecting the battery to the circuit board. It won't remove or disconnect at any cost. Even the adhesive tape you're supposed to pull on comes off when you pull on it, but the plug won't come out of the socket... so i cant reach this BIOS-Battery. I though remove the Battery would clear and maybee remove also Password? am i wrong?

so you guys gave me 2 options, right:

1) spend hours on your forum to search (for similar topics) and read (a lot of tech stuff i dont understand)
or
2)Download Dell 8FC8 Patcher from a user Named: rex98

but

1) Seems like many people got this -8FC8 issue and not all of them (included myself) know how to dump and flash. Some of us have Fam. and work full time, so i have no clue about flashing the bios, and i dont have time to read and learn it from a looong instruction written in the web. The rate of crash the Machine is to high without any knowledg just by reading and following one topic to another...

2) I already told you without the password i cant come into this machine to work with such files! So how can i run winrar and do stuff from your linked video on this machine, when the password still dont allow me to get into Win10? How can i transfer Rex98_8FC8_Patcher.zip on this machine and work with it then? Can you please explain that to me?

we want to help you but you must have minimal knowledge about this... I've told you what you need to do... you need a programmer... otherwise it's not possible... my advice is to take it to a workshop to have someone who knows the password remove it if you want to give it to children... otherwise you have every chance of ruining it...

The first thing to do is:

Read BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
Use search function in case someone already answered your request
Post under a related thread if it exists
Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. Not as a picture, part of the file name and so on.
Name your thread with make, full model numbers and request
Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible
Attach files directly to your post instead of linking to external websites
Post what the problem is, be specific - black screen, no boot, running slow, password. Do NOT post "clean me", "clear bios", "clean bios", "fix bios", "bios need" or other such terms
