All passwords are calculated for a US QWERTY keyboard. While checking your laptop Service Tag at Dell.com I do get that it was sold in GERMANY, which should have a QWERTZ keyboard.Hi,
can someone help me with the Bios password please?
Dell Lattitude 7480
The service Tag is GWCNTN2.
Suffix is 6FF1
I have alrady tried the passwords I got from bios-pw.org also with other an other suffix.
Could somone help me and send a working password or a bios dump file please?β
Thank you in andvance.
Generate the master password again and perform a keyboard layout conversion from US QWERTY to QWERTZ (by exchanging every Yy for Zz and every Zz for Yy).Comment

Thank you for the advice. I have tried your solution. But it does not work. I have even tried it with a external keyboard.

You must post the service tag

You havn`t said which suffix it has, have you read the bios password guide ?

Did you try the other suffixes. The 6FF1 suffix has a bug,use your service tag with the 1F5A or BF97 suffix instead,Example: 1234ABC-BF97 .
You make a backup with an SPI programmer https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...21#post1622421Comment

Thanks - yes I tried all the available suffixes. Unfortunately I don't have a programmer device and they look pretty expensive. I ended up just trying an eBay sellier who advertised selling admin codes for unlocking my laptop, and achieved it that way for about $16. All unlocked successfully without any trouble. I appreciate your help though!

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, π π π ...-

by anlsmithI am trying to remove the BIOS password for a Dell Latitude 5430 motherboard LA-L591P. So far I think that I have located the BIOS chip but NeoProgrammer says that is detects 3 chips. I have attached the dump from each one. Are any of these the BIOS file? Service Tag: 1DMC1T3. If nyone knows the exact location of the bios chip as well I would greatly appreciate it...
