I doubt both are corrupt.You`ve chosen the wrong chips or you`re using auto-detect with your programmer,it hasn`t recognised them and defaulted to 1MB.What part numbers are etched on both chips and what model is your programmer and software version.

Everything else works, but i would like to update the BIOS to a later version and the Admin passwork has been set by previous owner.

I HAD TWO OF THE SAME LAPTOP LATITUDE 7300, WITH PASSWORD LOCK, I TRIED UNLOCKING THE SECOND WITH THE UNLOCKED FILE YOU SENT ME, IT UNLOCKS IT ALRIGHT, BUT HDD NOT RECOCOGNIZE, SO IT ALWAYS NO BOOTABLE DEVICE FOUND. ANY CHANGES YOU MAKE IN BIOS AFETER RESTART GOES BACK TO DEFUALT. IT TAKES CLOSE TO 30SECONDS BEFORE IT TURNS ON. CAN YOU HELP ME. THE SERVICE TAG OF THE SECOND ONE IS G1871X2, LOCK BIOS FILE ATTACHED.
