the first one is dump and cleaned,
the second one works without DMI both 7 and 8th gen. flash both main and EC if you have no display etc, it works without rebuild and dmi data.
try it and give feedback.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: NEED BIOS FOR HP EliteBook 840 G5 6050a2945601-mb-a01
Hello.
I have a problem with HP Elitebook 840 G5. The laptop came to me with the Bios password. After desoldering the 16 Mb SPI memory, unlocking it with RCUnlocker and re-soldering it, the laptop starts up. Caps and Num Lock flashes 5 times at 2-3 second intervals, the fan runs at high speed. the image is not displayed. After uploading back the original batch with the password, the same thing happens. As a test, I uploaded the Bios and EC batches from this thread, the effect is the same. How can I cure my laptop from this condition? I am attaching the recorded batches.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

The situation has not changed. After uploading the batches you attached, it is the same. After turning on the laptop, the CAPS and NUM Lock flashes 5 times at intervals of about 2 seconds, the fan runs at high speed and no image is displayed.Comment

by WutruHi guys,
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....-

by STKR123Greetings badcaps community,
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
I learned that desoldering...10-29-2024, 06:03 AM -
by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by GuestHello,
I have an EliteBook 850 G5. After a Windows update, including a BIOS update, the notebook turns on, but the screen remains black, and the fans spin at high speed—nothing else happens.
I assume the BIOS update failed, so I searched for the BIOS chip.
I found a Winbond chip located between the RAM and the hard drive, which has a size of 32 MB.
However, the BIOS update available on HP's website is only 17 MB in size. I used the update version that was previously installed when the notebook was still working.
Can the corrupted...-

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR
