I tried 2 dumps: e8cn41ww and NM-C821 DUMP obtained from this site but without success. The laptop behaves the same with both.
The only option left was to try a virgin BIOS dump, also downloaded from this site. However, I can't try many dumps, as I can damage the board or chip by successive soldering and unsoldering.

I've done something like this before, but I don't know why the information wasn't read correctly, or that's how the information was, I don't know. Now, the deed is done, I have nothing to do, maybe someone can help me with a suitable dump. I've never had anything like this before, I've previously solved problems with BIOS and firmware on TVs and coffee makers. The programmer I worked with is EZP2019+, in my opinion it's no better than CH341A.

do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

The original dump file is compromised in my opinion. I checked it with a hex editor and most of it is with FF.

Haha. i did it. the chip reader was in the wrong place on the adaptor. I looked again to some tutorials and i aligned it ok then as soon as i pressed on the detect button it recognize it as W25Q64FW. Did erase-write-verify, with no error on verify. Soldered it back and the laptop was alive once againLeave a comment:

i'm out of ideas...I unsoldered the chip from the MB, i put in the 1.8v adapter, the programmer read it as 3_EEPROM, ATMEL, AT93C46@16. I selected SPI-FLASH, Winbond W25Q64FW (1.8v) as this is the only chip with 8MB and 1.8 v , did a read test but it gave error chip not empty but i performed anyway erase-write-verify but at verify it still says error on some address...The only thing different then with the clip it was it took a whole lot longer to erase and write.
Noob question, is it possible i am not aligning correctly the chip with pin 1 (the round small circle on the chip indicates which one is pin 1) on the programmer and still read it but in a wrong way? Or if i do not place the chip correctly on the programmer it won;t detect it at all?Leave a comment:

Hello! I would like to ask for help because I am completely stuck with this machine. The battery on the machine ran out during the update and since then only the power button LED has been blinking. I have tried several BIOSes from the site. With the factory e8cn36ww.bin, the Lenovo logo came up once, but never again. I would like help in creating a clean BIOS. I have attached the original BIOS dump. Thank you for your help!
Machine type: Lenovo Ideapad 3 15ADA05 (81W1)
Serial number: PF29E61XAfter I wrote, I saw the link to extract the BIOS and copy the DMI. I successfully completed the steps and the laptop came to life. Have a nice day!

RiderXO Yesterday when I flashed my Lenovo Flex 5 14ACL05 with a Winbond W74M12JW bios chip with a EZP2019 I had to do the following:
- use a 1.8 V adapter
- manually choose the most identical chip id as the EZP2019 wrongfully detected the bios chip as 93_EEPROM, ATMEL, AT93C46@16.
I went with SPI_FLASH, Winbond, W25Q128JV, (1.8v)
- double verification of reading bios with 3 Mhz setting as higher fx 12 Mhz did not produce the same data each time.
- Erase bios before writing then verifying bios data (Lesson Identified: if you only write - verify it's gonna produce an error).
ie. did you erase before writing ?
Yes i did erase the chip every time. EZ detects mine as W25Q64FW(1.8V). by default. And yes, i am using an adapter for 1.8v. If i search in EZ programmer database there is no 25Q64JWSIQ
The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

Hmm, yeah i am using the clip. Would a normal heat gun work?
Here is a photo of my chip:

by jendkkd jejeSo a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -
by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-
