Title says it all. got the bios cleared. I have the original dumps. Now I can't flash a OS cause it doesn't see the drive. I looked, found little. Any help? The drive is weird. It maybe encrypted but I have the OG bios dumps.

OK, I wiped the $SVS area on that one you uploaded and flashed that, now there's no password again. It did the 4 digit pin, so PRAM reset 3x done, connect to internet and try to install the OS again, again no hard drive appears. I have no idea what to do now. lol
Edit: Tried Windows installer, same issue. Tried diskutil list, drive doesn't show up. I'm starting to think it's the drive itself, but alas, I don't have another to test with because the connector for the drive is weird, it's not a m key or b key. Could clearing the $SVS area make the hard drive no longer detectable??? Is there some password on it or something?Comment

OK, I'm now fairly certain that hard drive is bad and that's why it won't detect it. I decided to pull it and test the caps on the hard drive, and there appears to be 2 shorts. I'll update after I replace it. I'd try repairing it, but I wouldn't want to use it even if I could fix it, so I'm not going to waste my time. I plan on grabbing a Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card and using a regular NVME drive with Cantina.

by bogosortHello everyone !
I have an A1398 Macbook Pro (820-00138-A) that can't wake up from sleep, but only in macOS (tested with Monterey). Strangely, it does wakeup when using Windows 11. What could cause this issue? A sensor? Thank you!
Here are some photos of the logicboard -
by twonk9098I have read many forums that state the Macbook Pro 2015 needs / does not need a battery to boot. I'm not convinced as yet which is correct.
The Macbook Pro mid 2015 I have has no battery and do not really want to buy one just to test.
This model has the newer trackpad which is not clickable when turned off.
At the moment, without battery it does turn on with no display (with backlight), no chime and then turns off after 13 seconds. I see this from the power draw on my DTPS.
If I hold the power button whilst connecting the magsafe 2 charger it turns on, again no image but... -
by daltonjr.Hi fellas,
I have his weird issue With Macbook pro 15" 2015, 2,8ghz proc. When you hear chime there is immediaetly Apple logo on the screen and non of the hotkey combinations at boot dont work.... CMD+R, D, ALT, CMD+OPT+P+R.... When its on the charger i can reset smc - Shift+opt+cmd+power, so i suppose the keyboard works... i have also tried with another keyboard connected to the board and its the same. I have tried another hdd with system installed on it ... shows apple logo for about 30s and restarts. Even if i remove the disk... it shows apple logo for 30s,... and then... - Loading...
