Hi guys,
I changed the chipset bios on the motherboard to a new one (MX25L25673GZ41-08G), then wrote a bin file on it (attachment) and now it works perfectly.
I did it myself, but added a universal bin file - maybe it will help someone like me.

Need some help removing Absolute/Computrace from a Dell 5501 Laptop. Service Tag HXLV8Y2. The chip is a 25B127D which appears to be a 16mb chip. All the other 5501 laptops I've seen have 32mb chips. Dell Orig BIOS 2.zip Could anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.Comment

post the S/N, post the original content of the bios chip, the motherboard model, the full name and model of the laptop,etc.
