enter the bios, set the date and time.
Check if the bios battery is connected.

            Are you kidding?

Your uploaded BIOS file is completely empty.

I would first try to create a reasonable backup of the notebook.

            Ideally, create three backups.

And then read me how the auto-patcher works.

And the whole thing in English and not in Polish.

            Good luck ...

Open the backup with a hex editor,it will be all FF`s . HxD hex editor -> https://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD20 .There is a polish version.
What model is your programmer, i`ll guess its a CH341A or EZP20** .Have you desoldered the bios chip or are you using a clip. Post a picture if you can of the bios chip on the board.

Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal

                      Hello,

After flashing the patched .bin on my T480s, my laptops screen stays dark and plays a short song.
Could anyone verify if the dump and the patch are actually ok?
And if not, could anyone try to correctly patch it?

                      Thanks!

You can check/verify this yourself by testing the laptop with the original dump, and regarding the patched file - yes, it is patched correctly.

Welp.. I put back the original dump and it's doing the same beeping sound. Sooo... I might have done something wrong.
I'll investigate more. Hope I'll be able to bring it back

Is it possible for the clip that came with the ch341a to damage the connection of the bios cheap to the motherboard?

LE: Someone in post #2190 suggested also removing the ram when flashing. I'll try that later and report back in case that fixes it.
What I did right now is:
                          - removed battery
                          - removed CMOS battery
                          - held the power button to drain any remaining energy
                          - connected the bios chip to my PC via the CH341A (with the 3.3v mod) and the included clip
                          - read the bios 3 times and verified that they are the same via SHA256
                          - auto patched the dump
                          - flashed it back
                          - reconnected the CMOS battery and then the regular battery

I also tried with the SSD disconnected and there was no difference.

Oh the Lenovo T480s model is tricky the resistors are placed way too close to

the EEPROM they can be damaged very quickly with the clip.

This interrupts the signal path so that the BIOS can no longer start.

Please be sure to look at the pictures, I've already had to repair it.

                            Good luck ...

So it seems like you know your way around a t480s
Can you also confirm which is the bios chip? There's two possible ones: one near the ram (which I supposed was the right one) and another near the wifi card.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'll try to see if that's the problem and if I can fix it.

Update on my T480s that was making beeping sounds.

I managed to get it all working. What I did different was taking out the RAM (though I doubt that actually made any difference) and enabling all options in the "Write IC" drop down in neoprogrammer: Off-Protect, Erase, Blank Check, Write and Verify.
By default it was only Write and I didn't even notice the drop down menu there.

Hi, I tried to unlock the bios of a Lenovo ThinkPad X380 Yoga via the Patcher.
For the backup of the Bios I used Asprogrammer V1.4.1, after which I patched the Bin generated with the Patcher and flash my bios. The problem, however, is that by turning on the PC the screen remains black, the fan runs for 1 second, the keyboard flashes and then everything remains off.
I tried to flash the backup but the problem persists. Can someone help me?
If it can be useful, I also made a backup with the "CH341A Programmer V1.3" program, which however gave me an error "Chip Main Memory with the content are in disagreement", and for this that I opted for As Programmer.
My fear is that the backup made is corrupt or has been done badly. In this case, is there a way to be able to flash a working version of the bios?

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                            Some issues
                                            A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                                            Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                            Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...
