Re: surface laptop model 1769
Hi Peste,
After resolder the BIOS and test, when i push power button screen shows microsoft logo and go black, three times, after it auto shut down.
I´m not sure about it is not well soldered or any problem with the new BIN flashed.
Any idea?Comment

Re: surface laptop model 1769
you probably read or wrote the bios with errors.. write back the bios chip with the original content and see what happens..Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Re: surface laptop model 1769
After resold it works, but partially. Windows says that model of surface is "OEMLA SKU number i5" and serial number is "123123123".
When i download drivers, the setup says that is not for this model and abort the installation.
Therefore keyboard and other components does not work. I will try to extract the MSI packet.
It is possible to edit the BIOS to change the model? If you explain me i can try.
Of course, thanks for your work.Comment

Re: surface laptop model 1769
Hi,
Finally i could extract the .msi packet and get each folder with the drivers. Install .inf files in each folder, one by one, and ready, all works fine.
Really thank you for your help.
If its possible, could you explain what exactly modify in .bin file, in order to learn.Comment

As of right now i am unable to confirm whether this BIOS dump works or not.
But i will update soon. Hopefully in a day or two.
Given that no one else uploaded any BIOS backup for this laptop, I thought i might as well start a new thread and upload what i have.

by BenassHey everyone,
I'm having an issue with my Surface Laptop 3, and I could really use some help. I've tried everything I can think of, but my laptop just won't detect any new SSDs I install. Here's a rundown of the situation:
Problem:- My Surface Laptop 3 isn't detecting any new SSDs, including a Sabrent Rocket 2230 256GB NVMe SSD and a Dogfish 256GB M.2 2230 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 SSD.
- Both SSDs work fine in other laptops, so I know they are functional.
- The laptop does detect a Forsee 64GB SSD from my Steam Deck, and I can successfully install Windows on it.

by User2025Hi,
I am working on a Surface Laptop GO 3, which is the new release 2024 with a i5-1230U processor. Originally, it had a 256GB SSD, then the owner attempted to upgrade it to 1TB SSD by himself. "Surprisingly", it did not boot afterwards, then changed back to the original SSD, did not boot either.
It turned out to be that just a couple of components had been knocked off when the owner was trying to get off the SSD cover with his beloved screw driver.
I do not have another board of same model. Although I have a Laptop Go 2, the layout of that bit...04-29-2025, 04:13 PM - Loading...
