    [REQUEST]HP 15s-fq1009ng Bios unlock

    Hello and (late)merry Christmas,

    maybe somebody can help me. I want to unlock the advanced Menu of my HP Laptop.
    I think HP has a special security, cause the Bios itself is not "crypted" i can open it in UEFITool/AMICP/PhoeinxTool.
    but if I flash it back via SPI-Programmer i get a blackscreen, if i undo the changes and flash it again all is fine.
    There has to be a kind of "CRC" check, cause if i only change one vaule with a Hex editor i get a blackscreen (Laptop truns on, fans are spinning, Screen "lights" up but remains black)

      Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

      Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

      Hello everyone,
      I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.

      Hi,

      Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

      Hello everyone,

      I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

      When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
