beep and no screen with patched version??
try with button hold on the mainboard

Ok had some luck maybe
after flashing this dump attached
it now boots up and says
Bad CRC security settings in EFI Variable
you can only type F1 for entering Setup but it wants an Password for this
tried to indeed the lenovotransalteservice and bootoptions like threads before but no luck

So I had 2 of t450s with bios pw .
Made an dump of the working ThinkPad and flashed it to the bricked one with flashrom. Nothing happens it goes on keyboard backlit is working but no screen.

When I flash back only the fn LED lights up and that's all. When I flash other dump it makes 5 beeps pause 5 beepsLeave a comment:

Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).
Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...04-14-2025, 01:56 PM -

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V.... -

A few days ago I bricked my Lenovo x1 nano gen 1 while updating the bios/fw from linux.
No the machine power up, but it stuck in a recovery state and I can not do much.

I would like to flash a new BIOS/FW on the chip using a CH341a programmer but ... I actually don't know which "chip" on the motherboard to target 🤦♂️
So here I am to ask for help.

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.
2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.
The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but... -

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...
