Okay, I've tried it again today with a different programmer, and it works! And the password is down too!!!

For future users that might struggle with this too, I've used NeoProgrammer, downloaded from here.

I still need help with this, restoring the backup of the bios doesn't fix the problem, I cannot upload it here, nor post a link to it. I feel cornered, I really need this machine to work.

Also, if I do not enter bios, I get two errors:
0271: Check Date and Time settings.
0183: Bad CRC of Security Settings in EFI variable.

I've tried a few programmers with the CH431A Pro, and the only one that could detect the chip was AsProgrammer, but it only seems to support the W25Q128BV and W25Q128FV chips. Any help?

[Edit] I've found this one, and it programmed it properly!

... Then, I found that the Fn key not working, but the Esc key worked for the function of Fn key. I think this may be because of the type does not match.

UPDATE: This is because that I have not modify the setting in BIOS to make F1...F12 function primary.

Thank you, hoaca388 for this bin file. I used it for flashing my T470s 20HF. This laptop can only boot to see some flashes of the keyboard light after the late BIOS update using Think Vantage from Lenovo. Now I can at least boot into BIOS setup page after flashing this BIOS file with a new bought CH341a programmer. And thanks to @dahnking for the confirmation of working.

However, after some other fixes (patching with BIOS AutoPatcher by @Knucklegrumble ), I finally got into my Windows 10 system. Then, I found that the Fn key not working, but the Esc key worked for the function of Fn key. I think this may be because of the type does not match.

Thankts! Worked fine for me although using a clamp.

Seems it was necessary to delete the BIOS first from the chip as otherwise the re-read was consistently (write-read always returned the same files so flashing via the clamp seemed to work) different from the original file.

Reason for request. After "normal" BIOS update the laptop did not start anymore. Not even into the BIOS.

I was hoping to get it back working by flashing it via AsProgrammer but need a working bios dump for that.

Here you go., this is an 100% Original - Non-patched BIOS Bin file for Lenovo Thinkpad 470s. It might be having a PW but works 100%...
