Hey, thank you very much for your very fast help! I flashed the binary into the chip and the laptop is still locked into a bootloop as before flashing. All the voltages are ok, the problem came up after windows 11 update. There is no backlight problem. The laptop is in a bootloop. Thank you!Comment

Hi! Thank you for coming back!
The screen is black, ON led is coming on, after a while the HDD is coming on (on but not active), no signal on HDMI, Win+B combination does not recover the bios (but the LED on the USB memory blinks for a second), I replaced the ram - no result, reset the bios (short on battery pins) - no result. All voltages are present 3.3V, 5V, 0.8V, 0.7V and 1.3V.

Hi!
The BIOS Version before the update wasn't important for me and I didn't take any pictures (I did not see this coming >>> REMINDER! <<<).
A few minutes ago I desoldered the chip and reprogrammed it (Neo) "success". Verified it "success". Resoldered it (https://i.postimg.cc/7xgTCs27/IMG-20230405-180029.jpg). I like to use this kind of soldering iron tip for these chips (https://i.postimg.cc/zv9XLYNV/IMG-20230405-181521.jpg) for less heat transfered to the board and less flying objects around me when the air is set too high
). This laptop ruined my Christmass. Offfff! Bootloop period is approximate one minute 20 seconds.

A friend helped me with a replacement motherboard. The laptop is working now. I kept the damaged motherboard for further work if new ideas arise.

Hi all,
My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes

Hello,
I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.
However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)... -

I have Thinkpad T560 Which has corrupted BIOS. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need a bin file for the BIOS. I was able to extract the .exe file of BIOS from Lenovo given here in this link:

Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN.
