Could someone please help me reset the BIOS password on my Toshiba laptop?

Unfortunately, my model does not support reading/writing via programmer (unsoldered EEPROM), so I’m stuck.

I've already pinged couple of repair shops in the country while I waited here. Unfortunately, hardly anyone understood what the supervisor password is or even worse, they wanted me to bring in the laptop to diagnose the issue (after I explained what the issue is ), and I really didn't want to travel 5 hours for something that can be fixed online.

Also, 90% of the Google results led to this forum and this thread, everything else looked less trustworthy.

Thank you evserv, that worked perfectly. This may help others: Even after I got into the BIOS screen, I had to enter the default password "Toshiba" to reset the Supervisor account. This procedure worked on a Tecra 840r.

Thank you again to evserv, that is one less laptop in the land fill.
