Hi, I am back. I picked up a Tecra 840r for my wife (just like mine). Last time I was a complete noob. I posted a picture that was not asked for and typed the challenge code wrong. Evserv generously spotted the mistake (thanks again). This time I had the wife double-check my work.

Thank you evserv, that worked perfectly. This may help others: Even after I got into the BIOS screen, I had to enter the default password "Toshiba" to reset the Supervisor account. This procedure worked on a Tecra 840r.

I had one job to do, and evserv had to help me do it. I am 100% sure that was not part of evserv's job description (Thank you).

I think I have to turn my old Tecra 840r off. It has been on for a month waiting for a response code. I will return when the board is more active. Thank you to all the techs. that are helping out, and it has been interesting to see how many people have stories the same as mine. I will let her run for the weekend and shut her down next week.
