    Asus vivobook s550cb bios dump

    Hello every body,
    I need bios dump for ASUS VIVOBOOK S550CB with double graphic.
    I found bios for K56CM but it works just for Intel graphics, the fan runs countinusly fast..

              usually when same board is used for different models (in this case S550CM S550CB and K56CM ) you have just to modify a bios from a different model "confusing" easyflash and make easyflash can upgrade to "latest/original" from website...

              for example...
              i have an ASUS S550CM (double VGA card) ... when using the K56CM bios (that is 205 revision i have a 30min shutdown due to intel management engine)
              when i use the S550CBf1202 provided by evserv in this post i have no shutdown.. but the secondary VGA card is flagged as wrong-drivers/not-working-correctly

              in my case i need to use the S550CM original bios (ver 202 also) but there are no dumps...

              what i do is edit a "compatible" dump (in this case S550CBF1202.zip ) using hex editor.. replacing all strings (there are 5 or 6) like S550CB with S550CM ... and all versions from 202 to 201 (this is necessary to upgrade at 100%)

              after that FLASH the newly created modified dump to eeprom using a programmer...
              when starting PC on main screen of bios is still appearing S550CB (not changed) but on easy flash .. the mainboard bios will be recognized as S550CM v. 201

              from this point you can easly switch from the modded S550CB 202 to the original S550CM 202 (downloaded from ASUS web site) just asking for an update from usb-drive. (in my case after this the secondary VGA card will be recognized without issues)

                      I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:



                      I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.

                      I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...

                      With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                      For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                      I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                      This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

                      Hello everyone,

                      I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

                      When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

                      I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
