    ASUS N550JV BIOS dump please...

    Hi

    My bro's ASUS N550VJ (CN229D) just froze on BIOS saving screen for like 2 hours. My bro did not know what to do, so he unplugged the laptop and it never boot again.

    It still can power up but no boot screen and trying to access BIOS via pressing F2 didn't work as well.

    I tried unplug both battery and bios battery and leave it overnight. Nothing change, No boot screen.

    At this point, I think BIOS probably dead, so if anyone have BIOS dump for N550JV, please kindly share.

    here is my laptop specs, just in case
    - Intel Core i7-4700HQ (2.40 - 3.40 GHz)
    - NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M (2 GB GDDR3)
    - 15.6 inch WUXGA (1920x1080) Full HD LED

                          I uninstalled the graphics drivers and the laptop displayed the desktop correctly. I have changed several drivers but as soon as the drivers are installed the screen goes black before the desktop is displayed.

                              I don't think the problem is the bios.. use an external monitor and see if you get an image...

                                      With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                                      For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                                      I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                                      This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

                                      The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                      Suspected Cause:
                                      I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                                      Aloha, I'm trying to recover my ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (FA617NS-A16.R77600)
                                      I have the CH341A programmer and can flash the BIOS chip directly. I need a verified full .bin dump (2MB or full SPI region) for this specific model.

                                      Specs:
                                      - ASUS TUF FA617NS-A16
                                      - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7
                                      - BIOS chip: Winbond W25Q16JVSIQ (2MB)

                                      If anyone has a full dump or can share from a working unit, it would be hugely appreciated.
