hi, I bought a lenovo x270 with of course a bios code, the chip is a winbond 25Q128JVSQ(1736)
I took a CH341a to try to save this story, I tried with the Neoprogrammer which found me chips but I'm not sure of the results,
maybe someone could look I didn't like killing it ^^

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

        Hello.
I could really use some help unlocking this Bios password for my Lenovo x270.
I attempted to use the autopatch, however I was not able to run the command (obviously I'm doing something wrong) and I've tried using a pre-patched version which gave a blank screen.
        Bios is attached.

I extracted the bios of my new (refurbished) Lenovo X270 because the bios is locked and prevents me from reinstalling (I can't boot from an usb key).

You can find the bios attached. Can you please help me unlocking it?

I'm not sure what is the meaning of this post. I can't see what post you are linking...

I tried to use the bios autopatcher, but I can't manage to make it run as the binary is for 64 bits, and my current computer is 32 bits.

I finally downloaded the lenovo-patcher in order to patch the extracted bios. I manage to get it right and to remove the supervisor password.

Fortunately, I found a 64 bits system in order to run the lenovo-patcher, as my main computer is a 32 bits processor.

                    Thanks for this tweak!

                      Hello,

my x270 suddenly got bricked for no apparent reason. When I press the power button the keyboard and the button light up for a few seconds and then turn off again. I've tried the usual fixes like draining the CMOS battery and so on. I've now used a CH341a to back up the bios and flash all other ones I could find, to no avail. The furthest I got with some is that it would beep at the end in addition to what it did before. Can anyone help me?

I don't know how helpful this will be but this is what I was able to find out about it:
                      TYPE 20K5-S0B700 S/N: PC - 0SURKD 18/02
                      BIOS chip: W25Q128JVSQ 1740

                      Thanks in advance.

With that the power button blinks 3 times when I plug it in but otherwise the behavior is the same.

Then you have no problem with bios let's move on to checking the hardware.

                                      BIOS Backup / extract 16MB .bin - Lenovo ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN - 20YA0005GE

Recently I used the official Lenovo bios updater software on my ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN (20YA0005GE). The updating process failed and I got a black screen after powering the device. Of course I did not make an own backup before using the Lenovo bios updater.

I bought a CH341A programmer and was able to make a connection to the chip while it is still soldered on board. But I did not realise that the chip was a 16MB size and selected the wrong size (8Mbit / 1 MByte) before reading the content of my chip. So the dump I did before erasing the chip is only 1MByte big. I fear that I lost...

                                      Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                      Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                                      History:

                                      1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...

So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.

I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...

                                      Hello everyone,

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...
The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge
