HI!

I need help con generic mainboard SF20BA..V2....138. 5*108.5*10 mm.8l..(NOBLEX)
The government gives the students with a stupid blocking system.
I need to eliminate that blocking system.

3 questions:

1- The motherboard has two SPI memories: 25Q64FWSIG and 25L1606E ., What kind of information do these memories keep?

2-Why use two SPI? What is the function?

3- Where can I get the .BIN files for both memories?

There are two chips because one is the main BIOS, the other holds the firmware for the EC (Embedded Controller) which is usually a black TQFP package with many pins, but in some cases it can be a BGA. This chip controls low-level functions such as turning on and off power supplies as needed, doing the sleep and shut down functions, handling the internal keyboard and touchpad and monitoring temperatures at hardware level for protection.

Some models have only one chip which stores both BIOS and EC firmware, some have a separate EC ROM, and more recently, some ECs have integrated the flash memory so that there are still two chips in regards to software, but one has been embedded into the EC. This makes them easier for the manufacturer but harder to repair, since you need a special programmer to flash the EC chip itself.

On your board this protection you are talking about is likely done in the main BIOS, which would be stored in the SPI chip with the larger capacity.
