                    hello friends,

i have a problem with my hp 17-y055ng. at startup the noteboosk shows serveral problems with product information, system board ct and so on. all i have repaired with the tool NbDmiFit V2.13. The errors will not be shown at startup.

but in the bios on the first side, there is a "born on date" with ÿÿ/ÿÿ/ÿÿÿÿ

How can i change this too?

Please help me and sorry for my bad english.

                      http://*******/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=10021&start=80

                      english translation -

Born On Date (Warranty Start Date)

New version of the utility launched with the / clrwsd or / CLRWSD flag
(case is significant, and only two of these options are allowed)
clears the start date of the warranty period to 00/00/0000.

To correct this incident, we translate the system time to the time we need,
Install HP Support Assistant, turn off the Internet, and simply launch
                      % ProgramFiles (x86)% \ Hewlett-Packard \ HP Support Framework \ Warranty \ HPWSD.exe.

When rebooting, go to the BIOS and enjoy the result.

PS I do not attach HPWSD.exe, because without installing HP Support Assistant in the system
The utility is non-functional, apparently because of the HPSF services that work with WMI.

but what means "new version of the utility launched with /clrwsd. Which version of nbdmifit is here meaning?

i have wrote the serial number and model number with windmifit under windows and not with the dos boot usb pen.

Requests to Intel Flash Programming Tool for Linux Ubuntu x86_64

                                            Dear all,
I forgot my BIOS password of my Surface Pro 3, I searched for solutions for a long time and knew that by using FPT to dump my bios to bin file and using decryptor, I can get my BIOS password.
Now I have a problem that I am unable to dump my BIOS into bin file.

My Surface Pro 3 currently runs on Ubuntu 22.04, with Secure Boot enabled and Boot From SSD Only.

I searched for FPT but there is no Linux version and none of them work.
I hereby request a copy of Intel Flash Programming Tool for Linux x64.
I would really appreciate it if anyone...

Best tool to place electrolytic SMD caps on a board
                                            by tony359
                                            HI all,

I am working on some boards where all 100+ SMD caps have to be replaced (yes, they actually went bad!). I found a workflow to remove them comfortably (two irons, pre-heater and extra hot air for larger ones on ground planes).
When it comes to soldering them back, I add solder to one pad and then I use a plastic tweezer to keep them in the right place while I solder that leg.

The tweezer works - but I was wondering if there is a more "dedicated" tool or whether someone has a better idea. If it was for a bunch of caps then who cares. But because...
