Problem: Asus Taichi 31 No Post Bios

    Hello everyone,

    Asus Taichi 31 rev 2.0

It doesn't Post, power light turns on for a few seconds and turns off.
I think it could be the BIOS. Made backup and now trying to figure out how make it correct using update file from Asus support page.
Dump is 8 mb but update file is 6mb.
So I located where files are starting to be different.
Ending of both files are the same (same version 209) in dump 001FFFF0 and update file 000007F0 stars area with FFs for update file it goes till 000004D0 and there is a part of code which I don't have in orginal BIOS. For dump FFs end at 0015FCF0 and after that it's different kinda code and large amout of it could be those 2mb missing from update.
But what is that extra code in update file then?

    Best Regards,

    Raitis

Thanks, dump works. But laptop crashes when starting to load OS and after the crash it doesn't POST, works fine in BIOS without SSD. Could this be bridge problem?

That is strange. Now we should find out what is wrong in the mainboard that a SSD makes a damage in Bios content.
maybe, the SSD is faulty. have you tested the SSD on another laptop? however, it has the risk of damaging that Laptop too.

Well yeah I don't want to have two broken laptops.

Don't have second SSD like this one to test it.

But good thing is that we have tested and working BIOS to share it with others.

            Thank you for a help.
