I don't do this via the link from internet. @RethoricalCheese posted a proprietary program called "HPUnlocker_v1". The link points to this program. Just use it.

I have the same problem with admin bios password in HP ELITEBOOK 840 G3, can anyone remove the password?

hp 840 g3 clean bios needed. uefitool method did not work for me. i could not find the $vss_store block parameter to modify it with clean one. perhaps someone can help me? please and thank you
