How to flash bios using RT809F ACER E5 473G

Hi Mates,

I have purchase a RT809F programmer but I can't find a tutorial how to flash the bios chip of Acer E5 473G, can someone help me how please? I have SOP8 IC clip but not sure how it works and some couple of sockets. Do I need to remove the chip from board? I tried the clip but seems not detected.

Put that socket on Rt809f programmer, remove the bios chip from mb and put it in that socket mounted on your programmer. Now connect usb cable to your pc and the open the software for rt809f. Click Smart identify and it shouls show you the correct chip. Then program it from menu. Fairly simple.

Help Disabling Flash Protection Range Registers on Lenovo P360 Tiny BIOS

Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

Can I flash a working BIOS from one computer to another of the same make, model, etc?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...

Looking for BIOS flash file for HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2019 (MACH-WX9)

Hello Everyone,

I have HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2019 (MACH-WX9) whose BIOS got corrupted i beleive. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need BIOS bin/hex file which i could use to reflash it externally via the flasher tool.

It seems like the support page of this model no longer exist: https://consumer.huawei.com/be/lapto...ro-2019/specs/

In the website, you can only see specs etc.

I have not tried to extract the BIOS dump yet as I want to see if there is any ray of sunshine...

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?

Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
