                          Re: Remove_SMM... UEFI.

I am tryring to unlock a L560 also got som L570, L580 for later tests.

My progeress so far, Modded the bios with the BootOption and the LenovoTranslateService (the no password one from this forum). I get into the bios fine, when i got to Password menu and try to disable the "Supervisor Password" it promts me for a key, HWID: 8673466 and wll not accept any key. I will look to mod the LenovoTranslateService myself but im not to good in IDA and cant really disassemble the BIOS in any meaningfull way( maybe I need some IDA plugins) anyway, did anyone have a keygen that I can use in the meantime?
I will appreciate it alot if anyone took the time to help.

Thank you for the patch, could you expand on a bit on the process on modding the bios ?

Okay a bit of feedback here, this modded bios did do its magic , but now after I have flashed the old original bios back, it will not boot it just sits with black screen and no fan, no sound, should I clean the ME region or do something else before flashing the old bios back ?

I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.

For lower chipset families (on ASUS boards) it worked to program the oldest bios version into the SPI rom, and the bios had activated the Management Engine itself by default - there was a message on the screen prior booting - "BIOS is updating Management Engine ..... . Is unlocking UEFI worth the hassle? (Surface Pro 4)

                                            Hey guys,

Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.

Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

                                            From what I've...

Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH UEFI Update went wrong
                                            by S70rm7r00p3r
                                            Hi guys.

I am very new to this business and i have some questions. Maybe someone can help me further.

I have a 2015 Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH and for some internet and office the computer works perfectly. Lately it has been bugging me a bit on and off. Then I saw there is a UEFI update from Intel and I thought if I put it on, the problems might be gone, but unfortunately the update didn't go through. The screen stayed black and after waiting for a while nothing happened, I had to pull the plug at some point. Of course, the NUC then failed to boot!

                                            ...

Hi, I would appreciate your help with the following problem.

I have a Fujitsu laptop AH562 witn a BIOS-UEFI problem since I converted the HDD to a SSD. For more details on the paltop go to the following link:

                                            http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Port...srch=TECHSPECS

After copying the HDD to SSD with ALtiris utility provided with the Kingston SSD and replacing the HDD with the SSD the laptop went into a startup loop with no screen display and only the disk LED flashing twice per second. I waited for approximatly 2h and then stopped the laptop...
