Re: a1465 bios password
Hi Techman1025
I have a Question:
With the Macbook EFI/Bios Bin dumps
After reading the efi chip using a (MiniPro TL866) Programmer
Im aware of Editing the bin using any Hex editor and removing the password
but my Question is, Is there a way to (Remove the Serial Number) from the Bin file
From each specific EMC model so they work on everyones macbook so people don't
have to keep individually requesting Dumps ?
I noticed that when I would order a Macbook EFI 8pin chip from China they would
automatically work with "ANY" macbook with the same EMC regardless of the serial # or the same Bin file having to be written back
Only to the same macbook that it was pulled out of.
Here is a Picture I up loaded pinpointing the location I'm referring to
Please let me know If you know from what section in the Bios Bin would need to be erased or how it would be done ?
ThanksLast edited by monkey1; 01-09-2016, 12:37 AM.

Re: a1465 bios password
Hi first the correct way is to keep the original file intacted just remove it using a tool so you original me region stays intacted and all info if you use. a donor dump from another laptop it will have me region problems like fans running full speed random reboots and stut downs and more . the next way is to use a donor and merg the original file where me region is stored with the donor dump and just replace Ssn done then you do a clean install of OS so the cloud want reset password and in my case when using tool pram reset. Hope this help
