BIOS lock = password? If so, it is not possible to reset it from any jumper. Flash BIOS via programmer to remove the password.

Ok nice that i could help someone . does hp 6730b give any numbers/code when it locks up?
When you press password wrong multiple times

I didnt get any code with 6720s compaq, and even shorting bios chip didnt work. 6730b could be same thing
