    Re: Flash bios

I use a tl866cs universal programmer. They read quite a lot of chips. Ch341 is cheaper and can read most bios chips if you only want to program bios.
I use sop to dip adapters desolder bios. Put it in the programmer and back it up onto the computer. I select tbe right chip and there is a dropdown menu to read the contents. It just reads the contents of the chip and thats a bios dump.
I would then open the new bios file and click program to write to the chip. Solder it back to the main board and it should hopefully work.

I can try taking photos of the process if you want. Let me know

Dump file is the output contents of what was read from the bios chip

Hope it helps. My English isn't to great. I hope readable....

ASUS ZenBook UX480F : need help with cleaning the ME region of my BIOS dump
              by mkdj
              Dear all,
I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:

I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.

I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
              by cr4zychriss
              Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

              Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

Can I flash a working BIOS from one computer to another of the same make, model, etc?
              by TyMercer
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...
