    Need HP BIOS 080B0 (080B0.bin + .sig) for HP Pavilion 17-g121wm (Product N9E13UA#ABA) — ACPI_BIOS_ERROR

    Hello,

    I have an HP Pavilion 17-g121wm (Product: N9E13UA#ABA) with System Board ID **80B0**. The laptop is stuck in a boot loop and shows **ACPI_BIOS_ERROR** during boot, even when attempting to boot from USB.

    SO: Windows 10 Home

    What I've tried:
    - Extracted BIOS SoftPaq sp80252 (F.45) and used 080AE.bin and 080B1.bin for recovery.
    - Performed HP Crisis Recovery (Win+B / Win+V), re-flashed BIOS multiple times.
    - Booted with HDD disconnected (still ACPI error).
    - Verified hashes of files I downloaded.

    The BIOS recovery indicates it successfully writes images, but the ACPI_BIOS_ERROR persists. I believe the correct file for my board is **080B0.bin + 080B0.sig**, but I cannot find it publicly.

    If anyone has:
    - A verified SoftPaq that contains 080B0.bin/080B0.sig, or
    - A dump of the ROM for board ID 80B0 (with SHA256/MD5), or
    - A safe mirror link to the official HP package,

    please share it (and include hash values). I will verify before attempting any flash.

    Thanks in advance — I can provide more logs, screenshots, or hashes if needed.

    (if this gets moved to BIOS requests section, please type the laptop serial number)

    Check here:
    https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebo...g/td-p/9489111
    https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebo...s/td-p/8847090
    Not always the System Board ID has to match the BIOS update filename

    Latest BIOS F.54 from first link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100...0/sp100743.exe ; as official as it gets from HP (AMD CPU)

    Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100...0/sp100743.cva and open with Notepad, you'll see this
    Code:
    [Softpaq]
    SoftpaqNumber=SP100743
    SupersededSoftpaqNumber=SP97106
    SoftPaqMD5=08f4c6f2145967bab64c7a604b1ee921
    SoftPaqSHA256=714D06C43B7DC17EB97C5D905C6816348421707CAA9AEDE8E3937F6587CF9BCB

    [System Information]
    SysId01=0x80B0
    SysName01=HP PAVILION
    SysId02=0x80B3
    SysName02=HP PAVILION
    SysId03=0x80B6
    SysName03=HP PAVILION
    SysId04=0x80B9
    SysName04=HP PAVILION
    Yes, extracting it you get 080AE.bin/sig and 080B1.bin/sig; one of those "fits" 080B0

    Try installing Win 10 1607 (Build 14393) or earlier (Win 7 or 8.1), then update BIOS from there

        Need BIOS for HP Pavilion 15-n058sr recovery - Caps Lock blinking twice
        by sssssssssssssss
        Hello everyone,

        I'm dealing with a classic BIOS corruption issue on an HP Pavilion 15-n058sr and hoping someone here might have the original BIOS file or point me in the right direction.

        Symptoms:
        • Laptop powers on but no display at all (completely black screen)
        • Caps Lock blinks twice with a pause, then repeats continuously
        • F12 LED stays on permanently
        • No POST, no boot sequence, nothing on screen

        Based on HP diagnostic codes, the 2-blink Caps Lock pattern indicates BIOS corruption/failure.

        What I've tried:
        • Hardware reset (battery removal, power

        HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
        by Bloodhoundje
        Hi everyone,

        I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

        I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

        After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

        I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

        🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
        by macabook
        Hello everyone,

        I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
        🧩 Initial Issue
        • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
        • External display (HDMI) shows

        ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
        by pirati
        Hello everyone,

        I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

        When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

        I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

        Dell T7820 stuck in Bios Recovery Mode
        by The_Memory_Guy
        HI,

        I have a Dell T7820 stuck in Bios recovery mode. I never get Dell Boot screen or anything visible on screen. The system just gives me 3 white lights and 3 orange lights indicating Bios recovery mode.

        What I have tried to get to recover the Bios, there seems to be some conflicting advice about recovering the system.

        All of them say to download the latest bios from the dell website which is a .exe file. I have done that
