ThinkPad P14s Gen5 AMD bios mod

I have a ThinkPad P14s Gen5 AMD and want to use an SSD in the WWAN interface. During the process, I used a CH341A to dump the BIOS file, but I couldn't open the .bin file with UEFITool. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this? I've uploaded some images and the .bin file. Some users on other forums mentioned needing a 1.8V adapter card—will using a 1.8V adapter prevent this error when dumping the file?

The chip is 1.8V so yes, use an adapter. There might be another chip on the board 256Mb , the 128Mb chip might be the recovery bios not sure.

Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

        Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...

Help to get Lenovo BIOS bin file for Thinkpad T560
        by maanee11
        Hello Everyone,

I have Thinkpad T560 Which has corrupted BIOS. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need a bin file for the BIOS. I was able to extract the .exe file of BIOS from Lenovo given here in this link:

        https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/p...me=BIOS%2FUEFI

In the extracted files, I see that BIOS containing file has extension .FL1 and I need to extract or convert it...

Fixed: Lenovo P14s Gen 1 (type 20Y1, 20Y2) Laptop (ThinkPad) bricked by a withdrawn BIOS update (r1buj82w)
        by akwky
        Hi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

        by Citymin
        Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

        NoteBook Model name : Samsung NT955XED-KK51G(Galaxy book2 pro, i5-1240p, 15.6inch AMOLED)
PCB model name : Venus2-15-5G(REV1.2), Venus2-15 ADL NPC

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
        by m1ch43lzm
        Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
        Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...
