Hello everyone!
I hope this is the right section for this request. I'm looking for help to modify the boot logo on my ThinkPad T14 Gen 1.
System Information:
- Model: Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1
- Machine Type: 20S1S4E600 (Intel i7 variant)
- Current BIOS: N2XET42W (1.33) - Latest version
- BIOS File: n2xuj25w.exe (12.98 MB) - Downloaded from Lenovo support
Replace the default "LENOVO" boot logo with a custom image during POST.
🔧 What I've tried:
- lenovo-logo-changer - Returns "Your device is not supported!"
- LogoDiy - Found source code only, no compiled version available
- Manual research - Found this community as the best option for expert help
- Original BIOS: n2xuj25w.exe (verified from Lenovo support)
- Custom image: 1920x1080 BMP format, 9.72 KB (optimized for BIOS compatibility)
- Current BIOS backup: Can provide if needed using recommended tools
I would greatly appreciate if someone experienced with Lenovo BIOS modifications could:
- Modify my BIOS file to include the custom logo
- Provide guidance on safe flashing procedures
- Share any T14-specific considerations I should know about
- BIOS modification can brick the device if done incorrectly
- I have recovery options available (Fn+R method for ThinkPads)
- I'm willing to provide any additional information needed
- This is for personal use only, I understand warranty implications
- OS: Dual boot Arch Linux + Windows 10
- Experience level: Comfortable with technical procedures, but new to BIOS modification
- Backup capability: Yes, can create full system backup before proceeding
I really appreciate any help, guidance, or even just pointing me in the right direction. This community seems to be the gold standard for BIOS modifications, and I'm grateful for your expertise.
Thank you in advance!
