      i have same device as fa ri can see T16 Gen3 (iNtel) so i guess i have almost the same question but need read/write controllers ?:P

              how to read this model chip without any expensive tools i have some Ez and ch341 (black) will read ?also i have opened backside now, is the chip near i/o thinkshield the 8legs?

                  The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
                  do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
                  solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

                      okay im on it turned motherboard opposite to cpu and i read ThinkShield Mec17xx-CB02504cvp so which chip do i desolder for reading with ch341

                          i figured out(with help from some friends and of course Badcaps here need Mec1723 chip renew /read/write to save this lappie, thanks for the help, appreciated

                              My pc updated bios through Windows Update and I was greeted with BLACK SCREEN WITH CPU FAN MAX SPEED. I don't think there is even a screen signal, because it triggers my monitor for a couple seconds and then the monitor turns off. I tried the other outputs as well.
                              1. I tried clearing bios, resetting bios, removed the CMOS battery, removed m.2 ssd, wifi, and ram. Still black screen with CPU fan blasting.
                              2. I tried using the Lenovo BIOS CD and BIOS USB, but neither worked. At least I couldn't get anything to work.
                              3. I could only locate two chips that look like bios chips. Could someone verify this

                              Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
                              With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                              With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                              Some issues
                              A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                              B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                              Things I tried
