    p51 uefi chip diagnosis

hey all i was messing around with digmorepakas thinkpad firmware advanced menu patches without success "resulted in black screen". i could flash modded file then flash the backup if needed. it got late so i put the p51 away and forgot about it for a month. i recently pulled it back out, flashed the backup file and it blackscreened. "screen turns on no splash". i had originally made 3 backups and diffed them, file integrity was good. i downloaded the files i could find on this site and it boots to splash then boots os but takes about 5-7 minutes to reach splash. i am trying to figure out if problem lies in the chip itself or corrupted files. my backups are exact same size as ones i downloaded here but "file downloaded .bin original-backup.bin" show binary files differ. i tried flashing downloaded file then updating bios but same problem. does anyone have a file i could test? password or no password i would just like to try a couple more to rule out corrupted files. here is my specs: MACHINE MODEL NUMBER: 20HH000YUS, CIRCUIT BOARD NUMBER: DP510 NM-B041 (REV1.0) i added one of my backup files below.

Lenovo ThinkStation P520 BIOS file needed
      by Forest79
      Hello,

I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.

However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)...

Correct procedure to disable defective onboard RAM on Lenovo T14 gen 1?
      by NoRelax
      Good day,
In my hands I have a Thinkpad T14 gen 1 (20UD002BIX) showing sporadic BSOD issues caused by failing onboard soldered RAM. I suspect disabling the onboard RAM via a bios mod would do the trick.
The laptop has already the latest updates as well as latest bios 1.51 as of today.
I informed myself in an attempt to DIY my way to victory but it left me with more questions than answers. This is not a BIOS request, what I really need is somebody to verify that the following procedure is correct.

Step 1: grab a bios image:
      - Method 1: from the official website:...

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
      by grimacelord
      Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

BIOS file for ASUS F542UN laptop
      by Sebastian Codrean
Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN.
