    I have a HCL ME laptop 2012 model. I need to update my bios which is American Megatrends Inc,(Current Installed Version - 211) to latest. Where can I find the bios update file or How can I download it?

          Hi everyone,

          I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

          I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

          After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

          Hi!
          Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

          Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

          Hello all! New here, trying to fix a Lenovo Flex 5 14ITL05 laptop.

          TL;DR: How do you connect a programmer to a "leg-less" SPI Flash chip? Model: Winbond W25R256JVEIQ on a board with part number 5B21B33119.

          Attached are photographs of the board for context. One is of the SPI chip close-up, the other is of the full board with the chip highlighted.

          I have a Lenovo Flex 5 14-ITL05 with the following symptoms following a BIOS update:

          Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W).           I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

          But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

          I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

          I tried :

          -I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...
