this have intel p6000cpu with ati dedicated gpu and itexpeak intel , the KB bios is a 256kb rom , and the system rom is a 4mb

but now more strange indeed , start whenting for option , this board was turning on but shuting off after 10sec. noticed that cheking S0 there was no voltage on any coils . just the main step controler coils 3.3 and 5 . and also charge coil 5v , all the outher when pressed on , 0 volts . so i start for the bios , got stucked (but if was showing sign of charging batery and conecting computer seems rom EC is ok .. so just reflashed system rom , and the same happen , so i start thinking on the KB ITE controler . i swaped it from another board i had in spares , and this KB was getting hot and computer not turning on, so replaced a KB frmo a working board and the KB is no longer getting hot , but now , no led on the dc jack , and also not turning on , and only have 3.3 volts , 5 volts is not present on the SN , only having the LDO and EN_LDO and also pin 17 with 4.8 volts . the LDO have the correct value , even like this , i swaped this SN for a RT (swapable) the same symptom , got 3.3 but no 5 volts , on the on off button also getting 3.3 and drop to 0 when pressing ON button .. so my question is , maybe the first KB swap fucked up EC bios , and now KB cannot EN 5 volts ! or what else is missing ? cheked for short , didnt find any , resistance to ground is ok on the 5 volts line .. so ideas ???

          Could you post schematic???
Hope You swapped exactly the same KBC...
Every mobo has different architecure, so hard to say without a schematic, whether KBC enables 5V or regulator itself...

I'm on iphone so couldn't check the schematic properly but according to power sequence 3.3 and 5v are generated by TI itself...

                Re: Urgence on hp g62-a10ep

i there , yes its enable frmo beggining , so it should have always 3.3 and 5 . but this board is getting to much erratic , each time im finding more problems and the board is getting worst by the time , and just cheking bios and KB's .. but no more 3.3 and 5 , and now 19 volts line is in short . so must fix all lines now first , and then i'll carry forward.
                let you know later guys

                  Viva,

Se a linha dos 19v está em curto, verifica a ficha de entrada ( o ultimo que reparei tinha a ficha em curto).
Desliga a ficha e verifica se o curto se mantém. Dá também uma verificação nos mosfet DB19 a DB21.

                  Boa sorte.

                  Hello,

If the line of 19V is shorted, checks the plug (the last one i repair the plug had shorted).
Disconnect the plug and check if the short is maintained. Also gives a check on the mosfet DB19 DB20 DB21.

                  Good luck

                        by macabook
                        Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                        🧩 Initial Issue
                        • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                        • External display (HDMI) shows
                        ...

                        ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                        by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                        Some issues
                        A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                        Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

                        by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
