I renamed the BIOS to "disableram.bin" and followed the instructions correctly, but I get the error message you see in the screenshot.
I also found the post about disabling RAM by moving the resistor, but it doesn't apply to my motherboard because I have the green motherboard and not the blue one (same scenario as on the page in the link you provided). Others have already asked the question for my version of this motherboard, and it says that on this model, it's done in the BIOS (according to what I found on badcaps).

The first 4 bytes for rev 1.2 SO-DIMM is 23 12 0C 03

The first 4 bytes for rev 1.1 SO-DIMM is 23 11 0C 03

Hmm! I understand, so I can't disable RAM with this BIOS version or through hardware modifications.
Oh well, that's the game!

41 or 80=256MB
81=512Mb
43 or 82= 1Gb
44 or 83=2Gb
45 or 84=4Gb
46 or 85=8Gb
86= 16Gb

Status: Dell logo stuck on the screen. Mainboard RAm Onboard . I have tried the BIOS but it didn't work; the LED blinks 2-3 times indicating a RAM error. Can the experts disable the RAM? Thank you very much.
