    Lenovo E130 BIOS chip Location

    Hi,
I am trying to locate BIOS chip for Lenovo ThinkPad E130 but cannot find it. Is there anyone can share the location of the bios chip please. Thanks

provide more informations, like serial and motherboard id. If it's Edge E130 one chipset is located near RAM slot and CMOS battery and the other chipset is located on the other side of MB near EC chipset.

Is it the one encircled in the picture. Will the short circuit of the two pins method work on this model?

Really appreciate your help. Many thanks

Thanks, I have found two chips near ram slots, 1 is 4MB and the other one is 8MB. I have read using programmer and can't figure out which one will have bios stored. I have attached both files. Will be very grateful if you can unlock it if its the right one please

bios is split between 2 chipsets, you have to merge dumps to get full bios image.

I really don't know how to unlock it and don't find DMI area. I can provide a clean bios and use LMU to write serial and machine type.

Thanks for these files but after erasing the old dump files on both chips. I have written these files you have provided. The password is still there. Any idea please
