Lenovo Legion 5 15IAH7 - location of BIOS chip

    Hi everyone,

    I've got a Lenovo Legion 5 15IAH7 with no post/no boot issue.

    The mainboard is a NM-E241 Rev 1.0

Now I am searching for the BIOS chip so I can reflash it.
But I have some difficulties to identify the correct chip. The schemantics somehow are not really helpful for me (I am a beginner with Laptop schemantics)

I found 3 Winson chips and one GigaDevice chip as you can see on the screenshots.
My guess its the W25Q128JVSIN (UB3) because it is the biggest from all.

I attached the pages of the schemantics from the chips, too.

(And if you found out, which one is the real BIOS chip, could you maybe explain to me how you know?)

    Thanks a lot in advantage

After another research, it seems to be 2 BIOS chips for this Laptop model.
One contains a 16MB BIOS and the other one a 8MB file.

I think the chip for 16MB is Winson W25Q128JVSIN (UB3) and the chip for 8MB is the GigaDevice 25R64ESIG neraby.

    Did I get it right?

16MB chip is the main bios.8MB is for ME region.
Try flashing only the 16MB chip.

        I tried flashing both.
Unfortunately the issue persists. Maybe it's not a BIOS issue, but a faulty component on the board...

          Hi.
Which programmer did you use to program the bios chip?
          Could you recommend the software.

I'm having problem programming my 16mb chip (same winbound chip as yours).

              I have a ch341a black edition.

I desoldered de bios chip y used an adpater with the ch341a.
i could read the information from the chip, but im having problem writing on it.
The software always get unresponsive just after start writing firmware on the chip.

              Used these softwares:
              NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10
              AsProgrammer 2.1.2
              CH341A Programmer 1.31

                Hi subzerillo,
I am using a EZP2019+ programmer with the EZP2019+ Software.

It works in most cases without problems.
You can add chips to the software database or modify some parameters.

But: This programmer only works with the EZP software. So no alternative tools like NEOProgrammer or AsProgrammer.

                  Thanks

I will buy the ezp2023 version. I saw that ezp2025 has problems with the software.
