Motherboard model X8M-6L bios S71
The motherboard starts but it is not possible to use the USB ports to install the operating system. I inserted an SSD with Win11 installed and using the restore function the USB ports are visible in the shell but if I start setup the system freezes. I noticed that there are two chips, both 16,328 KB, one is the bios and the other the ec. But from the size of the EC chip it is clear that it probably contains a copy of the bios. Probably due to different versions (it is likely that the bios and the ec must be of the same version, by reprogramming both chips, the system updates the bios taking it from the ec chip. I do not exclude that there may be hardware problems however I would like to rebuild the bios and I downloaded the file from the manufacturer's website (sp149824), however I was unable to decrypt the 16,871KB file S71_011900.bin using the methods I know (this was done by unpacking the exe) while if I create a recovery USB I see a file in the folder DEVFW named firmware.bin of 32.839.bin
There is a method to extract both bios and ec from the manufacturer's site.
