Are you looking for a specific BIOS file? You can get one from the manufacturer website. If you cant get the file, then do what I did: I downloaded a program called universal extractor. Then downloaded the .exe bios updater for Fujitsu's website and extracted it. The bios file was called bootabl.something and I renamed it to bios.wph and it worked.Last edited by DJduck; 07-31-2013, 01:16 AM.I can put text here?! -

Do they boot or not? If yes, just use the bios update in windows. I flashed the bios of my Amilo PI 3540 a couple of hours ago, works fine. You can also do it without a programmer, you need a USB thumb drive and the emergency flash utility and a bios file. just google <yourlaptopnamehere> bios recovery. You need to put the flashing program and bios.wph file on the drive. Then remove the battery and adapter from your laptop and plug in the usb. Now you haveo hold a key combo, usually something like Fn and F, and while holding the keys down you need to plug in the adapter and press the power button. The led on your drive should light up and the laptop should beep for about 5 minutes and then reboot when done. But using a programmer, yes you should be able to do what I did. But first search around the net and see maybe you can find a file without extracting the .exe file. But when you get a black screen and no beeps or nothing, you might have a gpu problem, not bios. This is usually on nvidia 7/8/some 9 series, and ATI hd 3200.I can put text here?!Comment

that p100 100% i started the program to update and it freaz(i think the program start without me pressing START FLASh)
g61( intel base) i read in other post 3v on pin 2 you need to reproram bios (when ac connected PW led stay on only 4 sec, after i remove the bios it stay normal)Just cook it! It's already broken.Comment

Post the contents of the "platform" file. Is your laptop working or not? If yes, you can try the flash program that will flash the bios in windows.

The KALG0204.fd looks like the bios file if you need one.

Hi all,
My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes

I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.
However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)... -

I have Thinkpad T560 Which has corrupted BIOS. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need a bin file for the BIOS. I was able to extract the .exe file of BIOS from Lenovo given here in this link:

Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN.
