I have Asus K43SV Laptop. Whenever I connect dc jack power button led glow only and the laptop doesnot get on. What could be the problem?

I have an Asus D553M. The screen says 2014/08/08 Enter rescue password.
I am not able to get into the BIOS or Windows to change the date.
Any ideas?

Well, i've found that my t100's date is changing, i think due to the clock getting set to default because battery is dead, so what i would suggest is that you run down the battery, leave it for days, then retry and see if the date gets down to a date that we have the password for, like 2011-11-01.

there is no information from asus password after 2012, try to kill cmos battery like STJ suggest...

this is daily asus password 2012 only...
