    Lenovo X13 GEN 1 Funny Unlock

    hello guys
    i have a Lenovo X13 GEN 1 ( 10th)
    MOBO : GT4A3/GX3A2 NM-C891 REV 1.0 with a bios password
    i remove the main chip ( U2101) to try with lenovo patcher but it give an error ( 32mb ) chip READ only i didn't write any thing
    i remove the battery and the rtc battery
    after 1 hour i put back again the main chip and the surprise the password gone
    entring Bios restore default config
    without any moding the main bios file

              The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...

              Hi guys,

              Today I pulled 5 Lenovo T420 laptops out of a bin at the rubbish tip, and they're old school laptops and they're all locked with a supervisor password.

              In the past I've unlocked similar Lenovo laptops, often I used the trick of shorting a few pins together on the chip on boot to get into the GUI and overwrite the config but it doesn't look like that is working with these laptops. I guess Lenovo fixed that trick? I have unlocked some other HP laptops by reading the chip, running a patch and re-writing back.

              But I can't work out these T420...
