Hey guys, how are you? I needed help with the BIOS on my DELL G15 5515 RE GDL5L LA-K454P. I no longer have the original dumps, but mine uses the W25Q128 (16MB) and the GD25Q80 (1MB).
Service Tag: 72TXVM3
I tried using the BIOS + EC from the Dell website, but now my PC doesn't have audio, Wi-Fi, LAN, etc. working.
If you need the original files from Dell, get the .exe file and start the program. Wait for it to go to the update screen. Or, if it's an older version, let the IHISI error message appear. Then, you don't do anything. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Temp\. You'll see a folder called 7zXXXXX.tmp. Inside, there'll be a file called isflash.bin. This is the raw binary file. You can use BiosUtilities to get the BIOS-UEFI, EC, Cert, etc. binaries.
ATTENTION: These are completely raw files. No MAC, ServiceTag, etc.

eu tentei usar os BIOS + EC do site da dell, mas agora meu pc não funciona audio, wifi e lan, etc.
quem precisar dos arquivos originais vindo da dell, pega o .exe lá e inicia o programa e espera ele ir pra tela de atualização ou se for uma versão antiga deixa ele aparecer aquela mensagem de erro IHISI, ai você não faz nada, abre o windows explorer e vai em C:\Windows\Temp\ ai você vai ver uma pasta chamada 7zXXXXX.tmp, ai dentro vai ter um arquivo chamado isflash.bin, ai é o binario bruto, ai você pode usar o biosutilities nele para obter os binarios BIOS-UEFI, EC, Cert, etc.
ATENÇÂO: eles são arquivos totalmente crus. sem MAC, ServiceTag, etc.

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, my Dell G15 Ryzen Edition does not post anymore (black screen, no Windows boot, no BIOS screen) after Windows Update pushed what appears to be a buggy bios image, I've tried the following with no success:
- Receive help from Dell Support (it is out of warranty).
- Disconnect machine from AC power and battery overnight.

- Connected external display via HDMI

Hi,
I've had an ssd that was previously used on dell xps 8960 and then it was installed in Alienware Aurora R15(intel version). On first windows boot in R15 windows started bios update and loaded bios for xps 8960(r15 and xps8960 essentially have same motherboards).
Now it has xps 8960 bios that looks different from alienware bios and when I'm trying to run bios update files for R15, I get unsupported platform error.
These models have AMI/Aptio BIOS.

I am trying to downgrade my bios on my Alienware so I can undervolt & overclock my CPU, and overclock my ram. I need to get to bios 1.2.2 for this. Dell doesn't allow downgrades, and their bios file is an exe compiled in c++, so I can't decompile it easily. I am wondering if I can flash the bios manually using a usb flasher. I would like to know if this is possible, and if so, where the bios chip would be. I know flashers are pretty cheap and the bios chip is 8-pin. Hey guys I have a buddy that spilled liquid on his Alienware and now when powered on it says it cannot detect the hard drive. I'm sure the circut is shorted I'd like to replace all the components in that circut and get the board all cleaned up.
