BIOS required for Acer Apire 5 A515-47 (LA-M214P)

Not entirely convinced a BIOS will help here yet...symptoms are with charger and battery connected I get 5 blinks of the power LED (which apparently means dead battery), but with the battery removed and after numerous attempts to drain residual power and reset the BIOS, the laptop won't turn on on mains power only either (no blinks...just completely unresponsive).

Probably going to order a new battery just in case for some reason these only boot with a good battery connected, but all evidence I find suggests these should boot on mains power alone.

I've saved a dump of the BIOS image from the chip (attached) but I'm unable to find another BIOS image anywhere.

I've downloaded the latest BIOS exe from Acer (also in RAR file attached) and extracted the files contained within but the file in there isn't usable in it's current form...unsure as to whether this can be modified to work or not as I'm fairly new to this BIOS flashing malarkey!

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Alan

HP Elitebook 820 G4 BIOS repair assistance required
          by Wutru
          Hi guys,

If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.

          BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....

          🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
          by macabook
          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
          🧩 Initial Issue
          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
          • External display (HDMI) shows

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
          by cr4zychriss
          Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
          by pirati
          Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
