    Unlock HP G62-a10EP

    Hello everyone,

    I would like to request if someone could help unlocking the bios, i'm trying to cofigure some settings on my HP G62-a10EP but the options present in the BIOS are so limited, i can't do almost anything.

    I'd be very grateful for any help offered.

          Hi.

          I'm very sorry, i have misread and thought an update file of the BIOS would be enough to ask for it to be unlocked.

          Since my BIOS does not support UEFI (or at least doesn't seem to) i lack the tecnical skill to get the original BIOS file.

          As such i'm sorry for wasting your time.

          If you want you may lock or delete this thread.

              Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

              Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

              Hi,

              Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

              Hello everyone,

              I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

              When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

              I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
