Winmate M133WK - Xentry Diagnosis Pad 2 BIOS Locked

    Hi everybody,

I looking for password of my tablet Mercedes Benz, because I can't install the update of the update.

    I have EC_133WK.bin and BIOS_M133KW_Corporate.bin files.

I did update the bios via windows with the EC_133WK.bin file but still same, the password is there. (U92 GD 25Q20CT)

I unsoldered the chip U89 (U89 WINBOND 25Q256JVEQ), erase and write file BIOS_M133KW_Corporate.bin with CH341A. But still same.

I already dumped all chip around.

There is a 25L8006E chip (U65 25L8006GE M2I-12G 5E395700) I have just dumped. Someone told me password should there.

I let you pictures of my motherboard. And link to the files I got and dumped.

is there a way to find password from these files (I guess into the 1 mb file)

    Thanking in advance.

    Best regards.

    U51_U65_U89_U92_BiosFiles.rar (7.95 MB)

          @Bugeur
I've spent quite some time checking your BIOS file, I have 2 passwords to try, please try each and provide feedback as to which of them worked (password found is case sensitive, but may not make a difference according to other findings):

          password1 = mMc3!AaW=s
( mike, MIKE, charlie, digit[3], ExclamationMark[!], ALFA, alfa, WHISKY, EqualSign[=], sierra)

          password2 = Mm3cA!Was=
( MIKE, mike, digit[3], charlie, ALFA, ExclamationMark[!], WHISKY, alfa, sierra, EqualSign[=] )

            Hi,

Thanks for your kind support. I really appreciate it.

I did get intouch with Winmate support and they did finally give me the password which was :

            Mm3cA!Was=

So the second one you gave me.

But, could you please tell us on which chip was it ? And the way to find out it. It's very strange.

Moreover, once I did put the password, I noticed I cannot totally remove it.
How comes ? is there a way to flash with bios no passworded ? or any other way ?

            Thanks in advance.

            Best regards

              Hi,
thanks for the feedback. It took me quite some time as I did check all the other files and finally checked every variable/driver name/contents of the BIOS file. The password is hard-coded into one of the BIOS DXE drivers, that's why you cannot remove it. It's a tiny DXE driver with 1,662-byte size, one option is to delete this file and save the new BIOS, update chip and then check, but you may not be able to set a password at all, or the other option is to set your own password into this dxe driver file and update the BIOS file with changes.

              You are looking for this:
              Name: "DefaultPasswordDxe"
              UUID: 09802933-8BA2-4789-A744-3B3500576E49

Would like to see a picture of the password prompt, as this driver is a little different from what I've seen, couldn't fine any reference to it from other parts of the code making the CALL.

              Best regards

                Hi,

Here is the password prompt on the picture.

Whatever I did choose (except Continue) I got Password prompt.

                -----------
Where would I find information about :

                "Name: "DefaultPasswordDxe"
                UUID: 09802933-8BA2-4789-A744-3B3500576E49"

                From bios files ?

                Best regards

Use UEFITOOL NE version and open BIOS file, then do a search for the GUID or the variable name as Unicode.
If you want to edit the BIOS then use the regular UEFITOOL, you may delete the DXE driver module or you may extract it, edit the file and then update the BIOS with the edited DXE driver.

                      Diagnosis Pad 2 / Mercedes Benz Winmate M133WK M133DA-100
                      by Bugeur
                      Hello everybody,

I have Bios with same chips. I would like to erase password. I could download two files from manufacturer. But it can't remove password after flashing chip.

I have a Xentry Diagnosis Pad 2 / Mercedes Benz under Winmate M133WK. It is a toughpad.

The motherboard name, if it can help is M133DA-100.

I already dumped U92 chip, U89 chip, U51 chip and U65 chip (needed to unsoldered it for read it).

On which bin files the password is located and how can I read it.

                      Thanking you in advance.

Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n DMI Data extraction from dumped BIOS
                      by Kentsfield
                      Hi,

                      I got a Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n (MT-M 11G5 PF3XG5V3) with a semi-bricked bios.

Short recap: I want to add an external GPU via the M.2 slot (Oculink). It does work but has some problems with the onboard GPU of the Ryzen 3 3300U. So I used Smokeless_UMAF to disable it. Since then I don't get any video via the external GPU nor the iGPU and Can't access the BIOS, but the PC does boot to the OS.

I desoldered the flash IC MX25U12872F and dumped the flash.

I also downloaded the newest BIOS and have it as a .bin file (I loosely compared the contents...

need help to modify a bios dumped from set-top box
                      by jason0503
The set-top box has a TV silicon tuner IC MXL608, which has a programmable channel selection filter (6MHz/7MHz/8MHz), and the default value is 8MHZ, but the manufacturer sets the set-top box to 6MHZ. How can I change this value by modifying the dumped bios? I tried using UEFITool.exe, but it doesn't work. The BIOS of the TV box is different from that of the computer. I don't know how to modify it or what tool to use. I downloaded the data sheet of MXL608, which mentioned that when the value of SYMBOL is set to 2.85, BW=6MHZ. When the value of SYMBOL is 3.75, BW=8MHZ, but I can't find the corresponding...

HP 800 G6 Locked BIOS (with Sure Start)
                      by idegenerated
                      Hi everyone,

Thanks for your help in advance. I have an HP 800 G6 that has "Protected by HP Sure Start" on boot. It has a locked BIOS that I'm trying to remove with RCUnlocker, but even after unlocking it and reflashing, it doesn't appear to work. The password is still prompted when I attempt to enter the BIOS.

Using NeoProgrammer in Windows and a CH341a I was able to read two 16MB BIOS chips, a GD25Q127C and a GD25Q128x like this thread here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-desktop-mothe...
