I think that you may be measuring the wrong resistor since C7020 is correct @ 2R5 ohms. Can you share a pic of the resistor @ R7601 that you are measuring?

AHA moment. Fell into the ole trap.

The part number is R7061 (not R7601)

    Double check again.

yes sorry i have typed it incorrectly, R7061 = 001.1 ohms

Good. What is the voltage to ground of PPDCIN_G3H ? Need to confirm that the adapter voltage is @ 20v to properly power this logic board. You can also check with a USB Type C meter between the power adapter and this logic board.

What is the voltage and the current draw shown on the USB C meter?

PPDCIN_G3H i am getting 19.88v keeps changing to 19.89v 19.91v, this happens on both ports

when i look on thermal camera both cd32s get like a hot dot spot inside them both of the the chips

Check for shorts to ground on PP3v3_S5 and PP1v8_S5. First measure the voltage to ground of these rails. If missing, remove all power and check their resistance to ground. Post each measurement.

              PP3v3_S5 3.271 v
              PP1v8_S5 1.790v

              both present
