Re: need help to source part

I think it's a 1.5uH choke but lets wait for a second opinion.
    .
    1R5 = 1.5
    L = Inductor

The 1 in 1R5 looks like an I because of that dot over it but I think that dot is a lame attempt at a logo and the characters in the string are separate.

Other string is a date code.

    Just my take.

The identifier (PL10) on the circuit board would tend to say it's an inductor. I'm less confident in the interpretation of the number on it.

Why do you feel it is bad?

Have you checked it's continuity? Is the power supply working?

This is probably used in a bucking power supply. If it were open or had shorted turns you would not have good voltages.

And if it ain't broke you can measure it to find out what it is..

thanks for your replies i will give more info about the board.
i bought this in as a bios update that had failed the customer had bought
a battery with a software to flash the bios so the battery would work on this machine. There is 19v around the board but no life when you press the power button not even a led flash . surely this bios update would not cause this problem alone.

Try to boot to the BIOS with it on AC power with the battery removed and all the drives out.
If it has more than one memory module then try both but with only one installed at a time.

Check the 19 vdc on the board for AC voltage riding on the DC.
If you got some the power brick is defective.

                            Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

So My iPad was not charging and booting up . i went to a local technician and he checked with thermal and this Part marked in 1st Photo is Short.
So then i went on to boardview and downloaded the schematics and identified this part in 2nd Photo. Now i am confused what exactly is the part called ? where should i get this from ?

i contacted my technician and he sent me his BoardVIew screenshot in 3rd Photo. In his Boardview the part is called X2826.... Something

SO My main concern is what part should i order what should i search the name for ?

Asus X532FL 3.2V at source and gate
                            by Lvsitano
I am having some trouble with troubleshooting a Asus X532FL rev 2.0 motherboard, which does not power on. So at the first MOSFET, I am getting 19V at the drain, and then 3.2V on both gate and source (compared with ground). Of course, the 2nd MOSFET's source will have 3.2v at source.

                            First MOSFET is a QM3056M6 and 2nd MOSFET is a QM0930M3

I already checked first MOSFET and source and gate are not shorted (drain with source not shorted either). Also I have 1.7V at the LDO rail (measured at the keyboard connector, as the power button is on the keyboard).

                            First...

Panasonic part number in service manuals
                            by Yanleb
In the Panasonic service manuals, both in the board schematics and in the part listing, the part numbers that are given are Panasonic part numbers instead of the actual part numbers.

This is especially annoying for small SMD components like diodes and transistors when you only have 1-3 digits printed on the component body.

For an example, look at the attached PDF.

Do you have a way to cross reference the Panasonic part number with the actual part number?

                            Thanks....

Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...
